He took over as RNPA President in 2023 upon the retirement of his predecessor in the role, Admiral Sir Tim Fraser KCB ADC - former Vice Chief of the Defence Staff. Admiral Blount is the UK's most senior military officer serving in NATO.

RNPA Chairman - Commodore Dean Bassett CBE RN
Our Chairman has commanded numerous warships, including the frigate HMS MONMOUTH and the amphibious assault ship HMS BULWARK, and commanded ashore as the UK Maritime Component Commander in the Middle East. During his career he has deployed on operations across the globe. He took up polo nearly 20 years ago and, in between frequent operational deployments, has been privileged to represent the Royal Navy in the Rundle Cup, Duke of York Cup and Inter Regimental Final. |
RNPA Director of Polo - Commander Steve Spiller RN
Steve joined the RN as a Weapons Engineering Officer and has served in a variety of ships, deploying across the world. He is currently serving in the Ministry of Defence. Steve also runs the Royal Navy Blue Jackets. This squad is for developing polo players which aims to grow them into the future first team players. |
