Our Chairman has commanded numerous warships, including the frigate HMS MONMOUTH and the amphibious assault ship HMS BULWARK, and commanded ashore as the UK Maritime Component Commander in the Middle East. During his career he has deployed on operations across the globe. He took up polo nearly 20 years ago and, in between frequent operational deployments, has been privileged to represent the Royal Navy in the Rundle Cup, Duke of York Cup and Inter Regimental Final. |
Josh joined the Royal Navy as an Air Engineer Officer after leaving University where he first learnt to play polo. Since joining he has been fortunate to deploy to the Mediterranean, Gulf and Far East during his training. In 2018 he was involved with the F-35 trials on the East Coast of America on board HMS Queen Elizabeth. He served as the Deputy Air Engineer Officer on 814 Naval Air Squadron, taking him to sea, Scotland and Norway operating the Merlin Mk2 in the role of anti-submarine warfare. He has commanded the Southampton University Royal Naval Unit and now serves in HMS PRINCE OF WALES. Josh manages the RNPA's Social Media and RNPA tournaments. |
Steve joined the RN as a Weapons Engineering Officer and has served in a variety of ships, deploying across the world. He is currently serving in the Ministry of Defence. Steve also runs the Royal Navy Blue Jackets. This squad is for developing polo players which aims to grow them into the future first team players. |
Since joining as a sailor, Sergei Harvey has been kept busy alongside his training to become a helicopter aircrewman. In between his aircrewman training in Shropshire and Cornwall he has enjoyed plenty of Adventurous Training. including mountain biking and water sports with the RN. He has also had time to qualify as a military language interpreter at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham . Having discovered polo and the RNPA he is helped many new more junior players get to grips with the sport. |
